Shikha Goel, Additional Commissioner of Police, Crime & SIT is a simple lady of duty. She has played an active role in initiation of the safety measures after the recent disha case in Hyderabad. Shikha’s advice for young girls is a simple one: “There isn’t anything we can’t achieve, provided we set our mind on it. All you need is willpower and perseverance to go ahead.” She believes that good education and financial independence are a must for every girl, no matter what financial background they come from.
Describing her initial thoughts, Shikha says that being professionally competent and to perform well without having to compromise on her principles were the two most important things on her mind when she first took charge and takes pride in the fact that she did right by abiding by them throughout her career.
